EXCEED Academy is a new program at Extraordinary Education designed to be a complete, individualized, college preparatory program for students in 5th-12th grade. Several curriculum and attendance options are available to help families manage time commitments and finances.
The EXCEED program is designed to meet the needs of families looking for a full-curriculum private school alternative that offers the individualization of parent-directed education, the rigor of university-style classes, the social support and interaction of weekly classes with fellow classmates, the spiritual support of a Christian school atmosphere, and the educational support of a learning coach and personal mentor. The cost of the program is higher than individual homeschool classes alone but lower than other private school options in the area. The amount of parental involvement and supervision expected is lower than for most other homeschool options.
In this unique student-oriented program, students will attend EE core and enrichment classes on a university-style schedule one or two days per week and also attend one or more EXCEED Academy sessions per week as part of their complete package.
Regardless of the number of days attended, this is a full curriculum program offering Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and many elective options. Students can also participate in fellowship activities and field trips, as well as enrichment and service opportunities as part of the Extraordinary Education community. On-site Academy sessions will be supervised by a Learning Coach and all grading, planning and record-keeping will be done by classroom teachers and the EXCEED Academy Coach.
Students will also need to work independently at home under the parent's supervision on their off days. Parents are key members of the student support team!
